Tuesday, April 9th at 7 pm in the Markham media center, come hear Dr. Matt Davis, sleep specialist and neurologist with Neurology Specialists of Monmouth County and Sleep Dynamics, talk about sleep disorders in childhood and the importance of sleep for children. He will review current recommendations, problems that arise when we don’t get enough sleep, common sleep disorders among children, and how to improve sleep quality.
Dr. Davis is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and attended medical school at the University of Buffalo. His neurology residency and fellowship in sleep medicine was at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
Dr. Davis is board certified in neurology and sleep medicine. He is the associate medical director and section chief of the neurology division at Sleep Dynamics in Neptune, NJ. He also currently holds a position at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Neurology.
In addition to general adult neurology, Dr. Davis has special interest and training in adult and pediatric sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, disorders of excessive sleep, such as narcolepsy, and parasomnias, such as sleepwalking. He manages and interprets home sleep testing from our office.
